How CP gets declared

Several of you have been asking how a CP gets declared.  I have it on good authority that Code Purple nights are called when the forecast is 20 degrees, or below.  Marc Marcus makes the call, but he is somewhat influenced by what is done in Wilmington.  The other night the temperature bottomed out at 20 degrees at the end of the night, but there was wind and Wilmington had called it a Code Purple night.

As of now, the Friday forecast seems to be looking a little more favorable, so as of about 2 p.m. today, Marc was not inclined to put an host on the ready.

Beyond Friday night, the forecast looks rather favorable for the next 10 days.
UUFN is currently 3rd in the rotation, so 2 other religious institutions would have to serve or pass before we would be called.
